Pedestrian dies in serious crash

A pedestrian in his 50s has died at the scene of a crash.

Essex Police was called to Abridge Road in Theydon Bois at about 18:30 BST on Monday after what it described as a serious collision.

The driver suffered serious injuries which were not life-threatening but was receiving hospital treatment.

Officers asked for any eyewitnesses to come forward and help with inquiries.
