A man has admitted driving a bulldozer into a village pub during opening hours, destroying the front porch and damaging the outside walls.

Police were called just after 20:45 GMT on 4 December following reports that a bulldozer had driven over an unoccupied parked car and crashed into the New Inn, in the hamlet of Cefn Rhigos.

Daniel Morgan, from Rhigos in Rhondda Cynon Taf, pleaded guilty to all charges including dangerous driving, criminal damage and aggravated vehicle-taking and property damage.

The 35-year-old will be sentenced on 20 April and was told by Merthyr Crown Court to expect a prison sentence.
