Vintage cars roll into Bridlington for beach races

Vintage vehicles have rolled into a seaside town as part of a festival of speed.

Race the Waves will see cars, trucks and motorcycles race over a 200-yard course on Bridlington South Beach in East Yorkshire.

Some of the vehicles have paraded on Church Green in the town ahead of the racing, which starts on Saturday. The event finishes on Sunday.

Tourism body Visit East Yorkshire described it as a "unique event within the UK motoring calendar".
