A man has appeared in court over a fatal shooting in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire.

Jordan Gray, 26, was fatally injured in the town's Shields Court shortly after 22:30 on 14 December last year.

Robert Clark, 58, made no plea to charges of murder and carrying a firearm in a public place at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday. He was remanded in custody.

A second man, aged 30, was arrested after officers executed a warrant in Motherwell on Thursday. He was released on Friday pending further investigation.
