On a beautiful spring day, with a blue, cloudless sky overhead, a pink oasis is once again delighting visitors to the centre of Birmingham.

The city's famed cherry blossom trees in Oozells Square are back in bloom at Brindleyplace, just yards from Birmingham's bustling Broad Street.

Right in front of the imposing Victorian building that houses the internationally acclaimed Ikon Gallery, two rows of spectacular cherry blossom trees attract tourists, photographers and office workers.

"They are a massive draw to the estate," said Matt Long, senior asset manager for Praxis at Brindleyplace.

"Every year, we see football increase by at least 25%, every time we do anything connected to the cherry blossoms.

"It's just beautiful and it's great to see people coming out and enjoying it, sitting underneath the trees."
