The A14 in Suffolk was closed in both directions following a serious crash.

Police were called just before 02:30 BST to the stretch of dual carriageway at Bury St Edmunds.

The road was closed in both directions between junction 43 for the A134 Bury Central Interchange and the Sugar Beet Roundabout, and junction 44 for the A134 Bury Eastern Interchange and Moreton Hall.

A diversion had been put in place through the town centre before one lane on the westbound carriageway opened at about 09:45.
