Bus services merge in bid to simplify network
LDRSTwo West Midlands bus services have been merged and upgraded in a bid to improve passengers' experience.
Ring and Ride, which covers Birmingham, Wolverhampton and the Black Country, has been combined with Coventry's on-demand service, to form West Midlands Bus On Demand (WMBOD).
West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) said merging the two services would make the region's bus network easier to use.
As part of the change, which came into effect on Monday, a fleet of smaller vehicles have been brought into operation alongside the existing minibuses, the WMCA said.
WMBOD allows people to travel up to five miles and book up to 14 trips every week, either via the app or over the phone.
