Royal Collection Enterprises Limited 2025A Christmas tree decorated with about 3,000 lights and ornaments forms part of Windsor Castle's seasonal decorations that have transformed its famous rooms.
The 20ft (6.1m) Nordmann fir tree in St George's Hall, the castle's largest room, was sourced from Windsor Great Park.
Staff spent days preparing the castle for visitors, including German president Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who will be hosted by King Charles III on a two-day state visit from Wednesday.
Visitors to the castle will also be able to visit the Crimson Drawing Room, which is open to the public in the winter.
