Four vehicles crash at 'large-scale' car cruise
Leicestershire PolicePolice have issued a warning after four drivers taking part in a "large-scale" illegal car cruise crashed.
Leicestershire Police said hundreds of vehicles were involved in the car cruise in the Blaby area on Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
Officers seized one vehicle, and as well as giving words of advice to drivers, issued eight formal warnings for anti-social driving.
PC Jodie Neal said: "While the vast majority engaged appropriately with officers, it was disappointing but perhaps not surprising that just 20 minutes after receiving advice, four drivers chose to test their luck - and their braking distance."
One car was written off after the crash, but no serious injuries were reported, she added.
PC Neal said further reviews of footage were being carried out to identify offences.
She added: "Drive safely, respect the roads, and remember - your car may be quick, but paperwork is quicker."
