Tributes have been paid to a "larger than life" man who was among three people who died in a two-vehicle collision.

John Pryce Jones, 86, died in the crash along with two others, named by Dyfed-Powys Police as David and Pamela.

One person was also seriously injured when a red Toyota Yaris and a grey Audi A4, hit one another on the A489 between Churchstoke and Lydham in Snead, Powys, at about 16:50 GMT on 11 December.

Officers renewed an appeal for anyone with information or video footage to contact them.

Mr Pryce Jones' family said: "We wish to express our gratitude to all who have been so supportive at this very difficult time.

"Your caring words and actions have been invaluable to us."

They said he was from mid-Wales but lived in Craven Arms, Shropshire, adding: "He was a larger than life character who was well known to so many people and he will be dearly missed by all."
