Man hit by bus suffers life-threatening injuries

The crash happened in Vicar Lane on Tuesday morning

A pedestrian who was hit by a double decker bus in Leeds city centre remains in hospital with "life-threatening injuries", police have said.

West Yorkshire Police said the 51-year-old was struck by an Arriva bus on Vicar Lane at 05:28 GMT on Tuesday.

Part of the road was cordoned off for several hours while investigations were carried out.

The force has appealed for witnesses and said officers were keen to speak to anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage from the area at the time.
