Trial of Legacy funeral director moved to Hull
PA MediaThe trial of a former funeral director accused of preventing lawful and decent burials will now take place in Hull from 5 October.
Robert Bush was charged after a major investigation into human remains found at Hull-based Legacy Independent Funeral Directors, including four babies lost in pregnancy.
Bush, formerly of Kirk Ella, East Yorkshire and now living in West Yorkshire, was originally due to stand trial in Sheffield.
He denies 30 counts of preventing lawful and decent burials and one charge of stealing money from charity collection boxes.
Humberside Police removed 35 bodies and a quantity of ashes from Legacy Independent Funeral Directors on Hessle Road, Hull, in March 2024 following a report of "concern for care of the deceased".
