BBCThe chief constable of Humberside Police said he was "very proud" after a drop in the number of recorded crimes.
Figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed a 3.7% fall in reported crimes between September 2024 and September 2025, compared with the same period in the previous year.
The force said it meant 3,500 fewer incidents.
Chief Constable Chris Todd said he was "very proud of all the officers and staff and the commitment they give to driving down crime across all of these areas."
Theft from the person saw almost a 28% reduction, compared with a national drop of 4%.

Thefts of bicycles dropped by 20%, more than double the national reduction.
However, some crimes saw an increase, with sexual offences rising by 3.2% and drug offences up by 45%.
The chief constable told BBC Look North the fall meant approximately ten fewer crimes per day were being recorded.
"This means fewer victims and an ongoing commitment to our communities, as well as a sustained downward trend that we are determined to continue," he said.
