Police return to scene weeks after tower block murder
Police ScotlandDetectives investigating the murder of a 26-year-old man who was shot at a tower block in Motherwell four weeks ago have returned to the scene and renewed their appeal for information.
Jordan Gray's body was found in a flat in Shields Court on 15 December.
Police Scotland said a post-mortem examination revealed he had suffered fatal injuries "consistent with being shot by a firearm".
Detectives and local uniformed officers conducted a stop and talk operation on Sunday, where they spoke to about 120 members of the public who may have been in the area around the time of the murder.
Officers are still trying to trace a person seen at Shields Court at about 22:35 on 14 December, the day before Gray's body was found. They were wearing a dark jacket with the hood up and dark trousers.
Anyone with information on this person is urged to contact the investigation team.
As well as ongoing forensic analysis, officers have gathered 1,200 hours of CCTV footage and conducted door-to-door inquiries, resulting in 250 questionnaires being completed and 88 letter drops seeking further information.
The force believes information about who is responsible for the murder may be known in the community.
Det Supt Grant Hendry said: "I want to again appeal to anyone who hasn't already spoken to police, and knows or has heard anything, to come forward.
"It doesn't matter how insignificant you feel that information is or if you think we'll already know, I'm asking you to please report it."
