Council to send chip spice Christmas cards
Hull City CouncilHull City Council will send digital Christmas cards featuring chip spice and rat sculptures after the winners of a design competition were announced.
Schoolchildren across the city were asked to design cards for the authority featuring a "Hull twist".
The winning designs will be sent to employees and partner organisations.
The leader of Hull City Council, Mike Ross, said: "The results really prove the young people in our city are full of creativity and imagination, and I'd like to thank everyone who submitted their entry."
Hull City CouncilA panel of judges selected two outstanding designs to form the Council's official 2025 digital Christmas card.
One features a festive scene set in a factory with a caption that reads "Father Christmas Loves Chip Spice." The design was created by Orla who attends St Mary's College.
Another image of a sleigh being pulled by colourful rats was designed by Olivia from Thanet Primary School.
The children received gift vouchers in recognition of their artistic achievement, along with an invitation to the Guildhall.
