Tributes left at the scene on Friday morning

A white Ford Fiesta, a blue BMW and a stationary, unoccupied Renault Clio were involved in the crash on Keighley Road at the junction of Cobblestones Drive at about 18:50 GMT.

Floral tributes were left at the scene of the crash on Friday morning.

The three men who died and a 21-year-old passenger - who is in a critical but stable condition in hospital - were travelling in the white Ford.

Graham's twin brother Connor was killed aged two-and-a half when he was hit by a car as he left Stepping Stones Nursery in Boothtown in August 2006.

Appealing for witnesses, officers said they believed a fourth vehicle not directly involved in the collision was in the area at the time.

Det Sgt Paul Lightowler said: "Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of the people who died. Specially trained officers will be supporting the families involved.

"This is a tragic incident and extensive inquiries are ongoing at the scene.

"I would like to appeal to anyone who was travelling in the area who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

"We are also keen to see any dashcam footage of the vehicles prior to the collision."
