Key road shut amid kitchen fire at industrial park
BBCPolice have closed a major road in both directions after a fire broke out at a kitchen on an industrial estate.
Emergency crews including nine fire engines were sent to Forest Green Kitchen at Q Park on the A46 at South Woodchester, Gloucestershire, after they were alerted at about 11:30 GMT.
The A46, which links Stroud and Nailsworth, runs through a valley with limited alternative routes. It has been shut in both directions from Station Road to the Culver Hill junction.
The kitchen's owner, Green Britain Group, said in a statement that the fire had been extinguished and staff had been safely evacuated.
The spokesman added: "The fire brigade arrived quickly and no other businesses on the site have been affected. The cause is now under investigation."
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service advised residents to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke.
