One dead and one seriously injured in crash

One person has been killed and another seriously injured after a one-vehicle crash in Salford.

A section of Cadishead Way, from Townsgate Way to Liverpool Road, has been closed by police in both directions while investigations continue.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area pending further updates from Greater Manchester Police.

The force confirmed two people had been inside the vehicle, but no further details about the victims have been released.
