A man in his 30s died at Gilwilly Industrial Estate on Friday, police said

An investigation into a man's death at a timber door firm is under way.

Cumbria Police said it was called to JELD-WEN on Mardale Road in the Gilwilly Industrial Estate, Penrith, at 16:00 GMT on Friday to a report of a "workplace incident".

A man in his 30s was declared dead at the scene, the force said.

The Health and Safety Executive confirmed it was aware and liaising with police.

JELD-WEN is a timber door manufacturer which supplies to public and private sector markets.
