Ballakilpheric Road will be closed for up to six weeks amid resurfacing works

A road in the south of the Isle of Man is set to be closed for up to six weeks for resurfacing works.

The Department of Infrastructure said the Ballakilpheric Road in Arbory would be shut to all through-traffic from Monday as resurfacing works continue.

This would allow the work to take place "safely", the department said, and would also enable roadside drainage works to be undertaken.

Access to properties would be maintained, but may change as resurfacing progresses.

Advanced warning signs have been deployed, and letters have been sent to residents of the works, the department added.
