A man has died after being involved in a collision with a car while cycling in Warwickshire.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Alscot Park, Atherstone-on-Stour, at 14:10 GMT on Tuesday.

A spokeswoman for the service said crews arrived to find an off-duty paramedic giving CPR to the cyclist.

She said: "The team of medics quickly began to administer advanced life support at the scene. Sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased a short time later."
