The dragon, called Henry, was dumped at the Sussex Reptile Centre

A female bearded dragon is looking for a permanent home after becoming the longest staying resident at a reptile centre.

Henry was dumped on the doorstep of the Sussex Reptile Centre in Bognor Regis, inside an aquarium, on 3 March 2025 and was taken into the care of staff, said the centre.

The dragon has "flourished" during its recovery, it said, revealing a "charming and curious personality" that had captured the hearts of staff.

The reptile centre's Benjamin Checkley said: "She's goofy, inquisitive and full of personality."

The dragon has become "a true constant in our care, and we're grateful every day that she found her way to us", said the operations lead.

Henry was now ready to find a "forever home", with her adopter needing to provide the "care, warmth and attention she deserves", the centre explained.

Reptiles are among "the most misunderstood animals, due to their specialised requirements of UVB, heating and humidity", it added.
