Road closed after police car involved in collision

Police were called to the incident just before 13:00 on Friday

A road was closed after a police car was involved in a collision on a busy town route.

Norwich Road in Ipswich, Suffolk, was shut off by emergency services on Friday afternoon.

Police were called to the junction with Dales Road just before 13:00 GMT.

The East of England Ambulance Service said one person was taken to Ipswich Hospital for "further assessment and care."

Both vehicles were damaged in the incident

Suffolk Police said it was unable to confirm when the road would reopen.
