Cameron Grocutt has admitted to manslaughter over the death of a 66-year-old man in Eastbourne

A man has admitted manslaughter following the death of a 66-year-old man in East Sussex.

Cameron Grocutt had initially denied killing the man, who died in hospital on 12 November, following an assault in Canute Close, Eastbourne, in October.

Grocutt, 24, of no fixed address, appeared at Lewes Crown Court on Tuesday to change his plea.

He is due to be sentenced in April.

A Sussex Police spokesperson previously said the reported assault was an "isolated incident" and did not pose a wider threat to the community.

Grocutt is to also be sentenced for causing grievous bodily harm, driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified.
