Saunders says the plane will return to service

A plane that was involved in a "serious incident" is set to return to service, according to the airline boss.

Aurigny flight GR101P was involved in the incident on Wednesday as it approached Guernsey Airport. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) is investigating.

Aurigny's chief commercial officer, Phillip Saunders, said the aircraft would return to service on Thursday.

The airline said the flight, which had no passengers on board, landed safely at Guernsey Airport and "most importantly" its team were safe and well.

The airline said it was unable to comment further while an ongoing investigation took place.
