Lift shafts craned into place at busy station
Network RailA station's third and final lift shaft has been craned into place as part of engineering work to improve access for rail passengers.
Lifts are being installed from a footbridge, which crosses all four platforms at Barnt Green station in Worcestershire.
Network Rail said the £7.5m project should be finished shortly, providing step-free access to all trains for the first time.
Nearly 300,000 journeys are made to and from Barnt Green each year, the organisation said. The station provides a stop on the Birmingham Cross City line and is also a calling point on services to Bromsgrove.
