Peter Andre: 'Family is my biggest achievement'
Getty ImagesHe has topped the charts several times and been a star for more than three decades, but Peter Andre says there are fans who remain confused about the name of his biggest hit.
The singer, 53, who lives in Surrey, revealed that he still gets approached on the street by people telling him they love his song Material Girl.
"I tell them, 'So do I, but I think you'll find it was Madonna who sang that'," he said, referring to the track Mysterious Girl, which propelled him to stardom in the late 1990s.
Appearing on BBC South East Today, the dad-of-five says that, despite all the trappings of fame, his "family always comes before everything else".
His latest UK tour pays tribute to legendary American group Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
Performing classic tunes such as Can't Take My Eyes Off You and Big Girls Don't Cry, Andre will be appearing at venues in both Sussex and Kent throughout March.
Getty Images"These are classic songs and you won't realise until you see the show just how many of them you already know," said London-born, Australia-raised singer, who has also appeared on reality TV shows such as Strictly Come Dancing and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
Indeed, it was while on the latter in 2024 that he met and later married glamour model Kate Price, with whom he has two children.
The couple divorced in September 2009.
"My family is definitely the biggest achievement in my life," said Andre, who has been married to Emily MacDonagh, a doctor, since 2015.
They have three children together.
"Everything is worked out and balanced around them," he added.
"That does mean having to juggle things, but being a parent is best part of it all."
