Police have asked anyone who has seen these bikes being driven to get in touch

Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a hit and run, which left an 11-year-old with serious injuries.

Police were called to Denton Road in Scotswood, Newcastle, at about 17:30 GMT on 3 March after the pedestrian was struck by a Sur-Ron-style electric motorbike.

The boy was taken to hospital with a broken leg.

Two 14 -year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, while another boy, also 14, has been arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting dangerous driving.

All three suspects have been released on bail.

Northumbria Police has asked anyone who has seen the bikes or knows where they are being stored to get in touch.
