'I won't shave until Leicester City get clean sheet'
Eli DruryA Leicester City fan has vowed not to shave off his beard until the Foxes keep a clean sheet.
Eli Drury, from Gloucestershire, has followed the club since meeting his wife 12 years ago, and the pair often now attend matches with their children.
The Foxes have endured a tough season following relegation from the Premier League and have not secured a clean sheet in the league since September - a 0-0 draw against Coventry City. In all competitions, the last clean sheet was in a 2-0 FA Cup victory against Cheltenham in January.
Drury started the challenge two weeks ago and said: "It was one of those silly things that you do of an evening."
Drury said the idea for the challenge came after the Foxes lost to both Charlton and Oxford.
He explained that his wife, Shannon, and his son "came up with this really stupid idea" and said to him, "Wouldn't it just be funny if you didn't shave your beard until Leicester got a clean sheet?"
He added: "I was sat there, and I'm pretty easily led, and thought, 'Oh why not'."
Before posting about the challenge on his TikTok page, he said: "For me at first it was just meant to be a little bit of internal banter between myself, my friends, my family and things like that.
"Then we went and lost 4-3 to Southampton and that took it from a couple of hundred likes and views to 200,000 overnight."
The video then continued to gain more views and word spread about his challenge.
PADrury, who faces a six-hour round trip for his visits to the King Power Stadium, added: "It was just aimed to be a bit of light-hearted banter and a bit of fun.
"I wanted to make a few people laugh and smile while we're going through tough times."
He is hoping the challenge can will end after Saturday's away game against Stoke City, which will mark 14 days of the challenge.
He said: "A lot of people are telling me that we could potentially go to day 1,000 with this challenge, some people have even said a million!
"It's one of those things where I've gone too far now and I have to carry on."
