Friday's ferry sailings at risk of disruption
BBCPassengers have been warned of potential disruption to all of Friday's ferry sailings between the Isle of Man and Lancashire due to strong winds.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company said its daytime and overnight services by the Manxman were at risk of cancellation because of expected adverse conditions in the Irish Sea.
The ferry firm said a decision on the 08:00 GMT crossing to Heysham Port and its 13:45 Douglas-bound return would be made by 06:00, with a announcement on later sailings due by 17:00.
Ronaldsway Met Office has also issued a yellow weather warning for waves crashing on to coastal roads between midnight and 16:00 on Friday.
Forecasters said Douglas, Laxey and Ramsey Promenades, along with parts of Shore Road in Rushen were most likely to see waves crashing ashore at the times of high tide, with Castletown Promenade also at risk to a lesser extent.
The Steam Packet said passengers due to travel by ferry on Friday could change their bookings without any additional charge.
The latest warnings over sailings follow previous disruption to daytime services on Monday and Wednesday due to gales.
