Two men in hospital after two-vehicle crash

Two men have been seriously hurt following a crash involving two cars.

A grey BMW and a black Volvo collided on the A5 Watling Road in Weedon, Northamptonshire at 07:40 GMT on Wednesday.

The road was closed in both directions for about nine hours between the A45 Weedon Bec and A43 Towcester.

The two car drivers, in their 20s and 40s, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
