PA/Ben BirchallA public consultation has started into lowering speed limits to 20mph on several roads across west Berkshire.
The proposals cover almost all of the High Street in Hermitage and all the roads off Hampstead Norreys Road, as well as Stoney Lane, Hermitage Road, The Ridge and Collaroy Road in Cold Ash.
In Upper Bucklebury, the Britt Lane and Little Lane areas are earmarked for 20mph limits as well as Manor Farm Road in Bucklebury.
West Berkshire Council's consultation will run until 28 January, with the outcome published within three months.
The council said the proposed changes aimed to reduce the speed of road traffic to make the local area more attractive and accessible for pedestrians and cyclists.
