Two towns with strong military ties have been selected to host the National Armed Forces Day in June 2026.

Aldershot and Farnborough in Rushmoor have been chosen to host the annual event, which will run from 22 - 27 June.

Councillor Sophie Porter from Rushmoor Borough Council called it "incredible" adding "it's our opportunity to bring the whole of the community together".

The local authority won a bidding war to secure the event which will see remembrance services, school visits and parades throughout the week.
