Dozens of firefighters tackled a blaze affecting 12 acres (4.8 hectares) of fields in Worcestershire.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of the fire in land near Bretforton, at 11:50 BST on Saturday.

The service sent 10 fire crews to the scene, with further engines from Gloucestershire and Warwickshire brought in to assist.

Two appliances and specialist crews remain in attendance, but the fire has been brought under control, the fire service said on Sunday.

No road closures were put in place as a result of the blaze, but people were advised to avoid the area while the fire continued to burn.
