Music megastar Taylor Swift's favourite meal at Christmas was chicken pot pie, a private chef has revealed.

Elliott Bloomfield was flown to a castle in Ireland to spend a week cooking for a "special guest" in 2018.

He said the Swift's identity was kept tightly under wraps until she arrived with her family in a helicopter on Christmas Eve.

Mr Bloomfield, who now runs a fine food business near Aylsham, Norfolk, said he cooked her "British festive" food but said chicken pot pie was her favourite.

Glin Castle is a 400-acre site on the banks of the River Shannon.

Swift spent almost £50,000 renting Glin Castle in County Limerick for six days in 2018, as reported by The Sun newspaper.

She was said to have drunk in a local pub on Boxing Day.

"She was very friendly and grateful for the food." Mr Bloomfield said.

"When we got chatting she asked where I was from.

"I said Norwich and she mentioned that a couple of years back she'd performed with Snoop Dogg at Earlham Park and she was raving about Norwich," he added.
