Cambridgeshire Muslims celebrate Eid in city parks
Shariqua Ahmed/BBCFour thousand Muslims gathered in a city centre park in what was the biggest turnout in an event's 10-year history.
Nafis Lodhi, one of the organisers of Eid in the Park in Peterborough, said he wanted people from different backgrounds, cultures and families to get together and share a meal.
Muslims have spent the holy month fasting as part of Ramadan in the run up to Eid al-Fitr.
"The biggest thing is that we're all coming together," he said.
Sheikh Mahmood from Masjid Khadijah led the sermon for the prayers in the park.
Fezaan Azam organised a separate celebration in Cambridge earlier which he said was a "wonderous, joyous occasion".
Last year, organisers in Cambridge saw up to 6,000 people attend.
