Firefighters have fought a blaze at a family-owned village pub.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the fire in the roof of the Swan Inn in Abbotsbury, Dorset, at 07:26 GMT.

Four crews responded to the incident and no injuries have been reported.

Rodden Row remains closed while firefighters remain on the scene and residents have been urged to keep doors and windows closed due to smoke.

Ten firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a main jet and two hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.

An aerial ladder platform was used to remove roof tiles from the pub and crews on the scene reported the blaze was under control at 10:14.

An investigation will take place into the cause.

The pub's website states it has been owned by the same family since 1966.
