Layton Randle appeared at Plymouth Magistrates' Court on Wednesday

A 19-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murder after a body was found in a marina.

Layton Randle, of Oakfield Terrace Road, Plymouth, appeared at the city's magistrates' court on Wednesday.

It follows the death of Drew Perham, 24, who was found dead at King Point Marina in Plymouth on Sunday.

No pleas were entered and Randle was remanded in custody to appear at Plymouth Crown Court on Thursday.

Update 29 January: A previous version of this story said the location where Drew Perham was found dead was Millbay Marina. We have amended this article to state the correct location which is King Point Marina after new information from Devon & Cornwall Police.
