Man in life-threatening condition after stabbing

A man has been taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition after being stabbed, police have said.

Officers were called just before 22:15 GMT on Sunday to Mortimer Road in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, after reports the man was attacked.

"Five male suspects, wearing dark clothing and face coverings were reported fleeing the location," a spokesperson said.

Police asked for anyone with information to come forward. A cordon remained in place at the scene.
