Former teacher charged with child sexual offences

Getty ImagesA former teacher has been charged with sexual offences alleged to have taken place against children in the 1990s.
John Hoyle, 69, is charged with committing a total of 16 sexual offences against two victims in the Wakefield district between 1993 and 1999.
The charges are nine counts of indecent assault of a girl aged under 16, three counts of rape of a girl under 16 and four further counts of indecent assault of a girl under 16.
Hoyle, of Pontefract, has been bailed to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on 15 April.
