More than 1,300 yards (1.2km) of gas pipes are to be replaced under three streets.

Work is due to start on 3 November in Grimsby Road, Wilton Road and Jackson Place in Humberston in North East Lincolnshire.

Contractor Network Plus said it expected the installation work to last eight weeks and traffic measures would be used "to allow engineers to carry out the works as safely and quickly as possible".

The firm is to hold an open day at Cleethorpes Business Centre next month to explain the scheme to local residents and gather feedback.

The event will take place between 09:30 and 14:30 BST on 2 October.
