Man in his 70s dies after house fire

A man in his 70s has died after a fire at a house in the Waterside area of Londonderry, the Police Service of Northern Ireland has said.

Emergency services attended the scene of the fire in Limavady Road on Sunday afternoon.

The police are investigating the circumstances of the fire but are not treating it as suspicious.

Part of the road was closed while firefighters dealt with the fire, but it has since reopened.
