A college has completed work on a £7m building as part of its plans to modernise the site and support its growing number of students.

Stoke-on-Trent College, which has about 10,000 students, will hold a formal opening of the Connect Building at its Cauldon Campus in spring.

It includes a new reception, admissions team office, health and social care teaching spaces, and seven classrooms. The college said the project was part of its wider transformation programme aimed at enhancing learning environments, student support and employer engagement.

Hassan Rizvi, principal and CEO of Stoke on Trent College, said the completed building was a "significant milestone".

He added: "This £7m investment demonstrates our commitment to providing outstanding facilities that support our learners to be skills-ready and future-ready, [as well as] our staff and our local employers."
