A search has been launched after a man exposed himself to three women in the same area of Bristol.

During the first incident, at around 18:50 GMT on Wednesday, a woman was approached on Courtney Road, Kingswood, when a man made sexual gestures towards her, leaving only after being challenged.

Around 20 minutes later, the same man is believed to have approached a different women on Bright Street - touching her inappropriately before exposing himself and making sexually explicit comments.

Avon and Somerset Police said a man again exposed himself on Courtney Street at around 15:00 on Thursday.

The man has been described by police as white, in his late teens to early twenties, of slim build with dark hair.

During the first two incidents he was described as wearing a hoodie and baggy denim jeans, and a black hooded puffer coat and black trousers during the third incident.

Insp Barny Mabbett, from the neighbourhood policing team, said the investigation was "ongoing" and house-to-house and CCTV inquiries had been carried out.

"Our officers have been conducting additional, targeted patrols and we urge anyone with information to speak to our officers or get in touch with us," he added.

"Your safety is our priority. We know incidents of this nature may not always be reported, but I would like to stress that we do want to hear about any incident or area which has left women and girls feeling unsafe."
