The Wiltshire paramedic, Megan Redstall, was congratulated by South Western Ambulance Service, after being crowned the new Commonwealth Bantamweight Boxing Champion. On receiving her title, Redstall said: "Boxing gives me a different kind of purpose and challenge, but both roles are about heart, discipline and staying calm under pressure."
Gloucestershire Live featured a man training to run the Gloucester Half Marathon with a washing machine on his back. Giles Tennick will be running in memory of his late friend and army colleague to raise money for SSNAP, a charity for sick newborn babies.
Great Western Air Ambulance Charity marked the four year anniversary of the sudden death of 24-year-old Sam Polledri who died of a cardiac arrest in Millennium Square, Bristol. His family has raised £250,000 to fund 80 public defibrillators.
Avon and Somerset Police reported on the rise in large, pop-up car meets in Cheddar. There have been 400 traffic offences in the area in the last month and as a result, patrols are to be increased in the gorge.
Three children who have spent their lives living with just one arm were given specially-made bionic limbs in Bristol this week. They were each picked by the prosthetic company Open Bionics as part of a fundraising campaign.

The UK's largest military air show, the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), will be returning to the Wiltshire/Gloucestershire border this summer and as the first aircraft for 2026 announced were announced, the Swindon Advertiser looked back on the event's 55-year history.
