A Virgin Atlantic flight attendant has admitted to performing ancillary activity to aviation function while over the alcohol limit.

Kathryn Scott, from Ottershaw, Surrey, was removed from a plane going to Antigua via Barbados in June after drinking wine the night before, Uxbridge Magistrates' Court was previously told.

The 44-year-old reported for duty four times over the alcohol limit after crashing her car on the way to Heathrow, the court heard.

At Ealing Magistrates' Court, a charge of performing an aviation function when over the limit was withdrawn and she pleaded guilty to an alternative charge.

She was ordered to pay a penalty totalling £451.
