Two people injured in two vehicle collision on A303

A major road has been closed following a serious collision between two cars.

Emergency services are at the scene of the crash on the A303 between Southfields Roundabout in Ilminster and South Petherton, which happened on Sunday at about 16:30 GMT.

A man and a woman, have suffered injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

National Highways said the road is closed in both directions between the A356 and A358 and advised drivers to allow for extra journey time while using the diversions that had been put in place.
