Rogers took over his victims' homes and forced them into supplying drugs, police said

A man who forced two vulnerable people to store and supply class A drugs has been jailed for five years and 10 months.

Craig Rogers, of Harewood Rise in Keighley, took over their homes, stole their benefit payments and subjected them to threats, assaults and intimidation.

The 30-year-old was jailed at Newcastle Crown Court last Wednesday after pleading guilty to two modern slavery offences part-way through his trial.

Insp John Barker of West Yorkshire Police said: "This case highlights the devastating reality of modern slavery and exploitation that can occur behind closed doors."

He said the bravery of the victims had led to Rogers being brought to justice.

"No one should ever be made to live in fear in their own home," Barker added.

"Information from the community remains vital, and we encourage anyone with concerns about exploitation or suspicious activity to come forward so we can take action quickly."
