Care home to host dementia advice event

The event will be held at Care UK's Foxland Grange in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton, from 10:30 to 12:00 GMT on Tuesday 10 March.
The care company said a dementia expert from the Alzheimer's Society would be hosting the Understanding Dementia session.
The talk is part of Care UK's national Big Dementia Conversation which aims to encourage practical support and greater understanding for families and communities.
Katy Anderson, manager of the home on Wergs Road, said: "While awareness of dementia has improved, our research highlights the challenges families face throughout their journey, particularly around communicating with loved ones."
She said the representative from the Wolverhampton Alzheimer's Society would be "sharing practical tips to help families and communities connect in ways that bring joy".
The Alzheimer's Society said an increasing number of people in the UK were being diagnosed with dementia. Last year it estimated 982,000 people were living with the condition and about 700,000 were caring for a loved one.
