Police are appealing for information after building materials and tools were stolen from a building site near Drumnadrochit.

The thefts at two lodges under construction in the Polmaily area were believed to have happened sometime between Monday 22 December and Tuesday 13 January.

A quantity of tiles were also taken during the incident.

Police said the thefts were not linked to a series of break-ins at properties along the Great Glen.

Det Con David MacKenzie said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area during this time, or who may have information that could assist with our inquiries."

Police have urged anyone who may have been offered items for sale, or who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage to get in touch.

Since December, break-ins have been reported in Fort Augustus, Letterfinlay, Banavie and Drumnadrochit, with alcohol, money and jewellery taken.

Anyone with any information relating to any of the incidents is urged to contact police on 101.
